Pretty sure I've posted this before in the past, but certainly well worth a re-posting. It's a video showing the entirety of the universe as we comprehend it, set to the music of composer Hans Zimmer (actually, a funky remix of Zimmer).
I hadn't seen it before, and it is pretty wonderful. I wish that we could somehow keep our sense of the scope of what we exist in at the same time that we go about (and appreciate) our little lives.
It took coming over here to remember your Staten Island connection. I hope your friends and family are all doing okay right now.
For me, scope-wise these things tend to dissipate the idea of scales of size. The universe could seemingly go on forever whether outwardly (expanding physical universe) or inwardly (seemingly boundless molecular depths).
Yes, thankfully my family and the house I grew up in are fine. Certainly the most devastating thing that's ever happened to Staten Island, though.
Been meaning to write about but in a bit of a writing slump at the moment. Pushing through the thickest thickets of the Finnegans Wake jungle lately.

I'm sure you'll write what you need to at the proper hour. Meanwhile, onward!
